My Activity

Reviewed Chocolate Cannoli Sandwich Cookies

"I liked these cookies and would make them again, but with a few tweaks. My cookies came out fine, but were almost bitter. I didn't have the chocolate chips so I went ahead and skipped them since the recipe said optional which I wouldn't do again. The filling tasted great, but I would either mix it a little longer or let it chill in the fridge for a while so it could be a little thicker so the cookies would sandwich together easier. I also had quite a bit of filling left after I had sandwiched all the cookies together."

Reviewed Amaretto Pumpkin Pie With Almond Praline

"A lovely tasting pie with a nice twist on a classic. I agree with the other reviews that the crust is not the best and with the amaretto cookies hard to find and five dollars a bag in my area, I would definently skip it next time. The amarettor liquer added a nice, unique layer of flavor and the almond praline added a 'cruch' factor that make this pumpkin pie very tasty."

Reviewed Crispy Baked 'Fried' Chicken

"This recipe was just 'okay' for me. The chicken itself tasted fine, though perhaps a little on the dry side. It was the cornflake coating that disappointed me. I couldn't really taste any of the seasonings that were in the buttermilk, just the baked cornflakes. I agree with others below that adding some seasoning to the cornflake mixture might help out the flavor of this dish."

Reviewed Mashed Potato Skins

"Very easy, very tasty! It was a nice twist to typical mashed potatoes and/or loaded baked potatoes. It's still pretty rich, even with the buttermilk and turkey bacon as 'lower calorie' substitutes."

Reviewed Orange-Cinnamon Rice Pudding

"Loved it! I never knew how easy rice pudding was to make, so much better than the store boughten variety. It was my husband's first time trying rice pudding and he really liked it too. It's a very filling dessert, so if you're eating it after a meal, you'll probably get more than the six servings the recipe states.
And natticar, the you don't actually 'eat' the orange peel. Its boiled in the water and then water in the milk mixture so the oils from the peel give the orange flavor to the rice pudding. You take the orange peel out before serving."

Reviewed Peppercorn Chicken with Lemon Spinach

"Very tasty! The dijon coating on the outside of the chicken breasts makes a really flavorful crust and the lemon spinach has a real pop of flavor."

Reviewed Thai Chicken Soup

"Great tasting soup! I actually used a rotisserie chicken are it really saved some time. The recipe also makes more than four servings for my household so I had enough to share with my parents."

Reviewed Croque Monsieur Mac and Cheese

"A delicous "adult" macaroni and cheese. The bread topping added a really nice cruch factor that is missing from your typical macaroni and cheese. The only issue I had with the recipe was that the gruyere cheese was a little pricey, which okay for a special occasion, but not for a normal meal."
