Reviewed Old-Time Beef Stew

This is a great base recipe. Like many of the other reviewers, I used beef stock instead of water. I also added potatoes and mushrooms, used the Allspice instead of the cloves, and Hungarian sweet paprika instead of regular paprika. Delicious. Will make again with these revisions."

I followed the recipe exactly the first two times I made it, and it was delicious. The third time I substituted ground turkey for the chicken, spinach for the Swiss chard, and added a can (partially drained of petit diced tomatoes. I also added just a dash more red pepper flakes. Even better!"
