My Activity

Reviewed White-Bean Chili

"Mine turned out more like a green chili but still delicious. I incorporated Ellie Krieger's recipe so I added 3 poblano peppers and used spinach instead of the mustard greens. I would advice adding your leafy greens at the end of the cooking process (which I thought to do but didn't. My spinach became too cooked and deteriorated into the chili. I ""

Reviewed Mississippi Mud Cake

"I made this for my mom's birthday and it was such a hit! The cake was moist and delicious, and there was plenty of icing. Next time I think I might put the icing and walnuts on top of the cake and then put on the marshmallows rather than putting them on top of marshmallows. I put the cake back in the oven (after it was turned off but still warm) to melt the marshmallows...mmm so good! I definitly recommend heating up the slices in the microwave to get all melty and delicious. Even putting the icing on top of the marshmallows, it still seeped in and went down into the cake. I will definitely make this again! I also want to try her other Mississippie Mud Cake."

Reviewed Greek-Style Stuffed Peppers

"First of all, I don't know how big of peppers used in the recipe but I used 4 and had a lot of meat mixture leftover! Ended up making a mini meatloaf with it. Anyway, I really liked this recipe. I added garlic, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, 1/4 tsp of nutmeg and feta in the mixutre. With the addition of spices it really "turned up the volume" haha. I liked the stewed tomatoes as a topping, it adds a sweetness. This is a healthy, and delicious version of stuffed-peppers and I will definitly make again.

Reviewed La Isla's Stuffed French Toast

"So I made this for my mom's birthday breakfast and it was a hit! I doubled the recipe which seemed to make too much batter and cornflake crust. I made the filling the night before and it was so tasty! I used probably closer to 1/2 cup guava paste and then cut up some canned whole guavas. I really liked the crunch from the crust. Also, I used challa bread but it was sliced too thinly so I didn't get to fill them like on the show so instead I just stacked two pieces together, still delicious. Definitely recommend this for a different and yummy breakfast.

Reviewed La Isla's Stuffed French Toast

"I have not made this yet but will be making it for my mom's breakfast birthday. I am so excited to try it. I found guava paste so I will be using it instead of marmalade. I've never used guava paste before so it will be fun working with it. I could not find guava shells but instead found whole canned guavas so I'll try those too. This looks delicious and from the other reviews it will taste delicious! I will review after I make it.
