I read some of the reviews here and gathered that plain milk leads to runny batter, so I reduced the oil to 1/4c and let the milk sit in a little vinegar before using. This was the second year I've been in charge of making the turkey. I was super nervous about brining, so last year I did a simple roast; the turkey came out super bland and dry.
