Reviewed brined and roasted turkey

I have used this recipe going on my second year now, I have noticed that several people are cooking the brine ingrediants to dissolve the salt, I have never done this that way. I am reading the recipe to dissolve in cold water and then add the other veggies and herbs. Not sure why many were doiing it this way but maybe this is why it was turning out...

Unfortunately my children hated it, like the other reviewers I enjoyed the potatoes but the Parmesan is definitely not good fried in Olive Oil, the saltiness is almost unbearable.
