Reviewed Parker's Split Pea Soup

Jan 3, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I have never made split pea soup, or even eaten the soup. The first night, when I made the soup and tasted it, I did not like it. I thought it was gritty and tasted bland. The second day, it was so delicious! I was surprised. The soup was now, consistent in texture, and it was no longer gritty. I really like eating it with some toasted french bread....

Dec 27, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

Don't be frightened by the amount of ingredients; I was, at first, but it's a very easy soup. I just needed to get chopping on all the veggies and the bacon(works fine instead of pancetta). Then throw them all into my dutch oven, and voila! This soup is awesome for two, but not limited to two, reasons - it's heavenly yummy, AND it's healthy(bacon...

Reviewed Butternut Squash Soup with Fontina Cheese Crostini

Dec 27, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

I have made this soup the past two years, particularly, in the fall and winter when butternut squash is abundant in the grocery stores i go to. I follow the recipe, but sometimes I need to add more or less stock to the soup as I can't cut the same amount of butternut squash every time. I also like to add more black pepper because I like the flavor...

Reviewed French Apple Tart

Aug 3, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This Tart is amazing. I usually don't like my fruits baked, but this is light, crispy, and not too sweet. I didn't need to use the full half cup of sugar on top of the apples; it was still delicious! Highly recommended. "

Reviewed Sweet Tea

Jul 13, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I have been making this tea for two years plus. I like this recipe because it's very versatile. I don't use tea bags; I use traditional tea that my parents buy. The tea they buy is very strong, so I use five tablespoons. My family isn't a big fan of sugar, so I don't use all of the sugar syrup. Very delicious on a hot summer day!"

Jul 13, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I have been using this simple and delicious recipe for the past four years. And every single time, there's a light crisp on the outside that's savory, and an inside that is light, flaky, and moist. I squeeze some lemon on top of my piece; I love lemons! Terrific!"

Reviewed Grilled Chicken Breasts with Spicy Peach Glaze

Jul 1, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This recipe was very odd. My friend was over and she was watching me cook, and she was like "that does not look well". But when I was done(BTW I cooked it on a skillet, fire is too scary, there was a nice crust on the chicken and it was browned beautifully. There was a slight sweetness to them, but not horribly sweet. Reviewed Lemon Fusilli with Arugula

Jun 8, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This dish was very delicious. I used only one and a half lemon juices, and it was perfect. There were a lot of comments about the dish being to salty, so I just tasted along the way. That trick is amazing. Also, I didn't think about putting lemon slices into the dish because I thought it would sort of be a waste, and it tasted delicious."

I made these for my sister's birthday, and everyone devoured them in like a minute! I also loved these cookies!
