If you want a great pecan pie recipe try The Pioneer Woman's recipe. It's easy and fantastic. And yes, it does take longer to bake than what the recipe calls for. I bake it until it stops giggling in the middle.

Next time I would try using unsalted butter in the crust. I've found that using salted butted and then adding salt can be a bit too much. Hope this helps

Did anyone notice the amount of shrimp called for in the recipe - 12-13 pounds!? This has to be a mistake; more like 2-3 pounds maybe. I haven't tried these sauces yet but every recipe I've tried from Ree has been fabulous. Will try these this coming Friday for my son's birthday.
