When I threw all this together, the jello did not dissolve. Make sure you boil one of the cups of water and dissolve 1T jello in the water before adding it to the rest of the ingredients:) HOPE that helps"

These are really very delicious! I made the icing different so that way it didnt have such a confectioner sugar taste. Instead of using 1/4 cup water i used a 1/4 of the juice that was from defrosting the strawberries, poured through a fine mesh sleive first. added 1tsp of vanilla and 1tsp of lemon juice. adds a beautiful rose color to the top...

I love these pancakes, and they are not over the top, you have to like process cooking for this recipe, there are a lot of steps! but so worth it! the compote goes great with the maple blueberry syrup!! mmm! so good, then the ricotta adds a nice creamy bite, so much better than whipped cream! loved the texture of the pancakes, i didnt have the liquor...
