"Loved it. So easy, and so tasty. Great reheated for lunch the next day.""
Reviewed Asian Marinated Grilled Pork Tenderloin
"Nom, nom, nom! Very good. The boiled, left-over marinade was a little salty as a sauce, but adding a third cup of rice vinegar and a couple teaspoons of sugar fixed that nicely. Yum!"
Reviewed Game Day Chili
"I'm a fan of the show, and have made a bunch of Melissa's recipes, all of which, except for the ones from this episode, have been very good. I thought the chili looked great when she was making it, and so did my wife. Unfortunately, in person I was less than bowled over. It was OK, but way too soupy for my taste, even after the 30+ minutes of simmering. And I'd have to say I agree with the other reviewer who thought it was much too tomato-y. Except for doubling the meat and slightly increasing the spices to compensate (by about 20%), I made the recipe exactly as written.
One more thing: I don't think the 1 tsp of red pepper flake, as published, is correct. I could swear on the show it was more like 1/4 tsp. I like hot food, but it seemed overly spicy, even to me, and it was way too hot for my wife to eat at all.
Reviewed BBQ Ranch Deviled Eggs
"I'm a fan of the show, and I've made a number of Melissa's recipes, every one of which has been good enough to make more than once. This one looked so good on TV, I made it the same day. I'm sad to say I found it very disappointing. My wife and I both ate a couple of them, and while they were edible, we didn't enjoy them at all. Fortunately I only made a half recipe, because the rest ended up going in the trash. :(
