This was delicious. The only thing I did differently was to use a couple of poblano peppers instead of the bell pepper. Without the avocado cream there is not a lot of flavor. The pinto beans were a strong flavor, too strong. I am not sure why I didn't substitute the pinto beans for black beans. I should have read the reviews before I tried this. To be honest, I only wanted the buttercream frosting part of the recipe. The caramel was a total flop. I cooked it until it was thick and bubbly. I left it to cool, came back an hour later to a separated mass. It was unusable. What a waste of ingredients!!! I was really bummed"
