My Activity

Reviewed Gwen's Fried Chicken with Milk Gravy

"I forgot to brine it the night before but it said you could brine for 4 hours so I did it for almost 6. It was tasty, not to die for but good. The milk gravy was a little bland despite the salt I added. The leftover cold chicken later was much better than the original finished product."

Reviewed Crockpot Macaroni and Cheese

"I followed this recipe almost 100% perfectly and used good cheese and it came out a hot mess. It was totally curdled and the oil had separated leaving globs of cheese. The only change I made was I used one egg instead of 2 b/c Paula Deen just about ruined me for mac and cheese with her addition of 6 EGGS in a recipe but that couldn't have been why"

Reviewed Brined, Herb Roasted Turkey

"Perfect brine for a perfect bird, I used a frozen turkey and despite some warnings it was not too salty and was the best turkey I have ever made and had, The gravy wasn't as thick as I'd like but I think that was b/c I rushed it, it still tasted great though. Worth the planning and effort.
