This is the first time I'm trying to make caramel sauce, and I'm glad I stumbled upon this recipe! It turned out HEAVENLY. I didn't have half-and-half so I substituted it with whole milk and thick cream (4 parts milk, 1 part cream) and I used margarine instead of butter. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!
