"My search for the perfect scone is over -- this recipe is amazing! I didn't have cream and substituted half and half, and it came out fine. You can really add anything you want, whatever you have around. I chopped some dried apricots and soaked them in the egg/cream mixture, then added chopped walnuts. Fantastic! Light and tasty, a light crisp on the outside. Just sweet enough with a rounded, not perfectly measured 1/3 cup sugar."
