Reviewed Caprese Tartlets

Jul 10, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I don't know this chef or her show BUT these absolutely so rock! I had everything like someone else said and the recipe popped up at the bottom of the page. I like tartlets, I like caprese salad. Well why not? I am so happily surprised. Just sorry I didn't have guests to wow with these (or am I?. I did make them mini size and chopped up the tomato"

Agree, this is pretty amazing as written. But this time I used red grapes cut in half instead of currents and less wine since I felt it was just a little bit soupy. Once the chicken is cooked this comes together so fast and always gets amazing compliments. Winner!!"

This is really so delicious! The best I have ever had for sure and will be my only recipe for meatballs and marinara from now on.I could not believe the flavor the sauce had with so very little ingredients. Don't be tempted to jazz it up with herbs, the pancetta gives it a great flavor. Love this recipe as is. "

Feb 15, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is absolutely the best carnitas recipe ever! It is very easy and so incredibly delicious. The meat was tender, crispy, full of flavor from the lime, orange peel and garlic. It makes the house smell wonderful too. Everything here is spot on. There is NO reason to fear the lard, water combination since the water is put in while the lard is just"

Jan 1, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Of all the complicated and expensive ingredient crostini I served this New Years Eve, this simple recipe was the one people raved about. My plum tomatoes were really fat so I probably roasted them for 3 hours. I doubled the recipe but could have doubled that! This is now one of my favorites and its amazingly inexpensive and easy to do. You could g"

This is beautiful to look at, tastes fabulous and is easy to make! I tripled the recipe and doubled the dressing. Buitoni chicken and prosciutto is excellent. Change nothing! You'll get many compliments.""

Jul 8, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Wow I'm glad I finally tried this. It is amazing! I love a dish you can literally make in under 25 minutes. It is absolutely delicious, great flavor and very pretty to look at. I used 2 cans of the albacore oil packed tuna and a bit more garlic and red pepper flakes. I did drain off some of the oil from the tuna even though I was concerned about l"

Shockingly boring!! I havenever made any Bobby Flay recipe that wasn't amazing, so even though the recipe gave me pause I brought this disappointment out to a dinner party. There were many half finished glasses sitting around and half the pitcher left afterwards. Apologetically guests stated "it's ok..". I cannot see how I could improve this in o"

Sorry it missed the mark. No one wanted a second, with this crowd that's amazing. Maybe I might give it another try sometime but definitely I'd would use rum. "

This is delicious!! I haven't been a huge fan of margaritas, too sweet and thick usually. This is light and unusual tasting. Loved the ginger, loved the nutmeg in the sugared rim. I am making this one my signature cocktail. Ok Guy? Definitely give this one a try."

Reviewed Brioche and Berry Bread Pudding with Lemon Fondant

Apr 13, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was so delicious! Surprisingly it's very easy to make too. Won over those guests who were disappointed to hear a bread pudding was dessert! Notes: Bake on a cookie sheet, you will get run over juice. Challah is a good substitute for the Broiche when it's unavailable. I made it in 4 oz ramekins, they were a nice size. It just made more of them....

This was disappointing. Made exactly as written it just tastes like champagne with strawberries . Sorry, but I'm not sure why this one's called sangria. The addition of a generous amount of apricot brandy really helped the flavor but I am deleting this and wont make it again. First time Bobby Flay has underwhelmed me. :("

I originally saved this back in 2008! I kept looking at it and thinking it was maybe too strange but I was still intrigued. So, I finally tried it out on a dinner party of 8. Had a back up store bought dessert just in case. Ok... this is really good! Everyone loved it and its pretty as well not to mention easy. Notes: I used 4 oz ramekins that size...

Interesting pesto, made as written no substitutions. Pesto was flavorful but the dish was just...meh. Not bad just not special either. Will not make this again just because it's very expensive with Asiago, arugula and walnuts and it has no wow factor at all. Maybe the leftover pesto can go on crostini, Humph!
