I have been making Alton's Gumbo for several years, but never reviewed it. IT IS FANTASTIC!! It's also very time consuming --it always seems to take me more than an hour prep time and there is quite a bit of clean up. I don't want to discourage anyone; if you have the time it is really worth it. Occasionally I have taken a short cut"

Delicious! I think it was the white wine that did the trick. I didn't change a thing. "

I tuned to the cooking channel this afternoon and Giada was making this. I made it several times in the past and it is very good. Another reviewer was correct; I found it a bit bland. Now I add some fresh parsley, and basil and a little dried oregano. Some grated parm doesn't hurt either. It is very good!"
