"I have lactose intolerant eaters in my home and feel very recipe challenged. I have mastered Garlic mashed potatoes WITHOUT ANY CREAM or MILK. Use a pinch more of salt and substitute heavy cream with 1/2 cup of lactose milk (reduced fat) and 1/4 cup of the reserved potato water. They are light, less fattening, VERY flavorful and make my family ""
