Reviewed Hoisin Ham 'n' Cheese

I liked the concept of this sandwich--the sweet heat--but all we tasted was hoisin sauce! I think next time I will use the hoisin as a light spread, more cheese, and no sesame oil. The cilantro was a nice bright taste. I probably should have read the reviews before I embarked on this, as it seems many people have the same ideas as I do!

I loved this recipe! Silky texture and rich flavor. The onions were an added bonus! I cooked them for close to 20 minutes. I halved the sweet potato part since there are just two of us, but I made the whole batch of onions. Even though he loved the onions, BF thought the mash was too rich for him, so I got them all to myself!!

Chicken is so moist & tender from soaking in the buttermilk. It was a bit greasy, but that may just be my inept frying. I will try to bake them next time.
