At 7:30pm on a school night with hungry kids, I didn't have time to start over and knew they wouldn't eat the super thick unattractive sauce either. Ina's recipes are fantastic. Plus this recipe is fairly forgiving. You can substitute jar marinara for the can tomatoes, chicken sausage for turkey, hot for sweet, no bake noodles, etc.
