My Activity

Reviewed Crispy Grilled Chicken Thighs

"Very easy, we did end up baking ours in the oven at 350 for 20m each side due to the fact that it is winter and our grill couldn't maintain a temp. Did not think the spice was too much, tomatoes were EXCELLENT, can't wait to try them like this when they are in season!!"

Reviewed Tres Leches Cake with Mango

"We made this cake last night and were really disappointed. After watching Alton make his version, we were really excited to try this one. Unfortunately, as others have noted, the liquid is excessive. We let it set up overnight as Alton did with his recipe and it is still swimming this morning. My husband tried to pour some of the liquid out to sav""

Reviewed Chicken Tortilla Soup

"We LOVE this recipe (although we have altered it slightly to make it our own :-)). We like a thicker soup, so we add an additional can of black beans and some frozen corn (from the garden). Also, for the lime, we just squeeze one whole lime into the soup and don't bother with garnishes--it is fine the way it is. What a wonderful recipe, so glad to""

Reviewed Antonia's Pasta Alle Melenzana (Eggplant Pasta

"This recipe was pretty good...there was nothing incredible about it, and it made so MUCH that we were really sick of eating it by the end of the week. Would not make again, but am glad I tried it.""

Reviewed Mango and Avocado Salad

"I had been meaning to make this for quite some time and finally did--it was SOOO good!! Excellent flavor combinations, will definitely be making this again. Just be sure you know how to pick the "perfect" avocados and mangos, because the textures are really a big part of what can make or break this dish. Wonderful and easy to make :-)"

Reviewed Chocolate Raspberry Pavlova

"This was a relatively simple, fun dessert to make. It is like nothing else I have made before, so it was kind of neat at the end. Followed the recipe to a T, and it came out great! A previous review had mentioned that it wasn't sweet enough, but we thought it all balanced out well: the sweetness of the pavlova, the creaminess of the whipped cream"

Reviewed Chicken-Zucchini Alfredo

"LOVE this recipe, it is very good for a low-cal version and my husband and I have added this to our "rotation" of recipes. The only thing we have had to be careful of is burning the remaining clove of garlic when you add it to the pan before you whisk in the flour-milk mixture. I actually either turn off the heat or turn it way down because burnt garlic in alfredo sauce just isn't nearly as good. Other than that minor alteration, great alternative recipe!"

Reviewed Pan Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

"This was a great twist to the way brussel sprouts are typically prepared--and YUMMY!! Not really the healthiest, if that's what you were going for with brussel sprouts, but delicious none the less. My husband who would not touch brussel sprouts before really enjoyed this dish--would definitely make again!
