My Activity

Reviewed Crown Roast of Pork

"Made this for Christmas dinner and the taste was phenomenal and presentation was stunning. Rave reviews from a family of 15! The only glitch was my wife was on mise en place duty for the dressing and used 4 fennel bulbs instead of 1/4.... We didn't realize until after it was in the oven, but it was fab nonetheless. Oops, but no harm no foul. W""

Reviewed Roasted Butternut Squash Soup

"I wouldn't necessarily call this an EASY recipe. The squash and toasted spice mixture took time to pull together. But now that I have extra spice mixture, it will be easier to make next time. Also, if you can find cubed fresh butternut squash, that would be a huge time saver. Overall, though, a great recipe that received rave reviews from the entire family. I made this over the weekend for an early Thanksgiving celebration with my family, and plan to make it again for the in-laws on Thanksgiving Day. I served it with both the mascarpone and roasted pumpkin seeds, but could see skipping the pumpkin seeds next time, as they didn't add much to the dish, other than presentation.

Reviewed Artichoke Gratinata

"Very easy to throw together, and delicious to boot. Normally, I'd make stuffed artichokes as a side dish, but wasn't happy with the quality of the produce in my local markets, so this was a great alternative with all the flavor components, and much faster to make as well. Definitely a keeper! I used the marsala as well, and next time would probably increase the crust for extra crunch.
