My Activity

Reviewed Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Tarts

"Very easy to prepare and tasty. Instead of refrigerated pie crust that you had to cut out with a cookie cutter, I used Pillsbury Crescent Recipe Creations, Seamless Dough Sheet where the dough was already pre cut. I do recommend serving these hot out of the oven as they do not taste as good when they have had time to cool."

Reviewed Roasted Chicken with Balsamic Vinaigrette

"In this case, I wish Food Network allowed for 4.5 stars. It wasn't quite a 5 for me, but this was a great recipe for roasted chicken and it was SO easy to make and as another reviewer stated - the clean up was a breeze. It could have had a little more flavor for me, but I also do not eat the skin, so maybe I'd feel differently if I ate the skin pa"

Reviewed Shrimp Scampi with Linguini

"Great flavor and extremely easy and fast to make. I bought the shrimp already cooked and followed the recipe as is using the cooked shrimp. Delicious!""

Reviewed Weeknight Bolognese

"After seeing all the five star ratings I am wondering what I did wrong, but this is such an easy recipe to follow that there really isn't any room for error and I did follow it exactly. I am not sure what it was, but the taste of the sauce was too overpowering for me and did not resemble a true bolognese at all. I think it may have been the mixtur""

Reviewed Parmigiano and Herb Chicken Breast Tenders

"Delicious and definitely five stars! I only used one tablespoon of thyme and 2 tablespoons of the rosemary - those were the only two changes I made. Chopping up all the herbs, etc. added a lot of time to this recipe and it took me about 90 minutes from start to finish. I served this over spaghetti.""

Reviewed Chicken with Wild Mushroom and Balsamic Cream Sauce

"This was a very good dish and I'll be making this again. I used only a half tablespoon of the thyme because I do not like too much thyme. I also did generously salt this dish while seasoning. I agree with some of the other reviews on the time for this recipe - after chopping up all the ingredients and then preparing this dish, I spent a total of a""

Reviewed Pizza Pockets

"I made these for the first time last night and my family absolutely loved them - thanks for another delicious and easy recipe, Giada! The salt was just right for my family because we do tend to like salt, but if you don't like too much salt my recommendation would be not to add in the 1/2 tsp salt to see if that makes a difference. It was my first""

About Me

I work as a senior consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton and I started cooking about 4 years ago when I began taking various cooking classes in Bethesda, MD. What inspires me to cook is that for me it's fun, I enjoy trying new dishes and I love making my family happy with real home cooking!

Favorite Foods

My favorite food to cook is all types of Italian dishes as well as chicken dishes, crockpot recipes and anything on the grill. I also really enjoy finding good holiday recipes and trying those out as well. A few dishes that I am most famous for with my family is my Superbowl dip, my breakfast casserole and sweet kugel that I learned from my step mother, sausage balls I learned from my aunt, bacon wrapped weenies that I learned from a good friend, a chicken dijon with artichokes and mushrooms with rice pilaf recipe I was taught in a cooking class and everyone also always loves the pumpkin bread recipe I got from Paula Dean! I love eating out and don't think I could narrow it down to one favorite!
