Been making this one for years now, always a huge hit. I made it with the bread the first year, and next year used 1-2 bags of the premade dried croutons, I liked the texture better with the bags and it was much easier. I've skipped the rice before and not noticed much of a difference, and 7 cups of stock is sometimes too much... I've never tried...

Always turns out great- slap me on the hand, but sometimes I just do the aromatics. Can also use the aromatics for roast chicken and turns out great!
