My Activity

Reviewed Real Meatballs and Spaghetti

"I've made this recipe several times, and it's fab! I follow the recipe pretty much as is, with just a few substitutions and additions: in meatballs, I sub the water for milk, use only 1 cup breadcrumbs, only 1 tsp salt, and add a tsp of Worcestershire sauce (to bring out the flavors of the meat). Instead of frying the meatballs, I bake them in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes (it's the healthier option). In the sauce, I reduce the salt to 1 tsp, add, 1 tsp of dried oregano, 1 tsp dried thyme, and add 2 cups of beef broth (increases the quantity of the sauce and gives it a richer flavor). This is a family favorite! :)
