"I would give this a 5 star had I not made my own modifications. I already had hog jowl, so I used that rather than bacon. "Very good. I only gave it a 4, though given the option, it would have been a 4.5. The reason is because I used crisco butter flavored shortening in place of. I never buy margarine, as it is like buying plastic to me. Otherwise, these tasted fantastic!

"oh my goodness...this is so good!!! I mean, *really* good. I used a just under 3 lb chuck roast, but I didn't change the amounts in anything else. I did shorten the cooking time to about 2.5 hours. very good!!!!!

"This was my very first try of making yeast rolls..I saw this in the magazine and was inspired to forgo the usual King's Hawaiian rolls. I was pleasantly surprised that they came out like they did, tho not as uniform as hers in size. Even mom was impressed :-)
