I have made this twice now. The first time, it was too salty, so I had made a note on the recipe to reduce the salt. I used 1 T this time and it works better. I think the lime flavor is so strong that the salt could be reduced some more. The first time, I just serve it with warm tortillas and homemade pico de gallo, maybe some rice and salad....

Once you brine your own, you may never again buy the "ready-made" stuff. Worth the time! I use the crockpot sometimes for the cooking - puts all the timing off as the recipe reads, but if you are an experienced crockpotter, you know when to add the other ingedients. Making it again today. Happy St. Paddy's Day!"

Made this last night to go with broiled pork chops and a salad. Good, but not as good as I had hoped. I did follow the recipe - even measured the cheese - used tillamook extra sharp. Not enough cheese flavor! But the croutons, chives and bacon on top are great. Next time - more cheese!!"

Shouldn't really rate this as I used leftover pasta (from Kelsey's recipe but used 4 eggs to 2C flour) and made my own ricotta (and just added lemon zest and gorgonzola crumbles and pepper); but the method was very easy. Now if they just hold together while cooking! The egg wash is, I think, the key. Have made ravioli before but used water mixed "

OK. Out of oven. Added toasted chopped pecans and walnuts. These are seriously good."

Reviewed Butternut Squash Soup With Chicken Sausage

Oct 20, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Good soup; I did roast the butternut squash - it gives it more flavor,I think. Also, added a jalepeno to the veggies. I made this because we had some chicken apples sausages that had no flavor. This made them taste much better! So if you make it with good sausage, it will be outstanding."

Easy is right. I melt the butter right in the pan while the oven preheats and I get the peaches ready. I have yet to add any sugar to the peaches - they were super ripe and super sweet, so just added cinnamon and fresh grated nutmeg. It is also easy to halve the recipe when you are only making it for two people and don't want to have it around "

Great cake, not a fan of all the crumb topping, but I made this for my boyfriend's birthday - we grew up in NY and he LOVES Entemann's crumb cake. He was happy, but next time, I think I will make half the crumb topping and make one cake for me without the topping. Cake is too good to distract with all those crumbs. Also, added extra blueberries"
