"Once you brine your own, you may never again buy the "ready-made" stuff. Worth the time! I use the crockpot sometimes for the cooking - puts all the timing off as the recipe reads, but if you are an experienced crockpotter, you know when to add the other ingedients. Making it again today. Happy St. Paddy's Day!"

"Made this last night to go with broiled pork chops and a salad. Good, but not as good as I had hoped. I did follow the recipe - even measured the cheese - used tillamook extra sharp. Not enough cheese flavor! But the croutons, chives and bacon on top are great. Next time - more cheese!!"

"Shouldn't really rate this as I used leftover pasta (from Kelsey's recipe but used 4 eggs to 2C flour) and made my own ricotta (and just added lemon zest and gorgonzola crumbles and pepper); but the method was very easy. "Good soup; I did roast the butternut squash - it gives it more flavor,I think. Also, added a jalepeno to the veggies. I made this because we had some chicken apples sausages that had no flavor. This made them taste much better! So if you make it with good sausage, it will be outstanding."
