Reviewed Sweet and Spicy Coleslaw

Jul 19, 2013 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is a new family favorite! When I'm in a rush I use the bagged coleslaw mix from the store. I take it easy on the cayenne so everyone can eat it and I use dijon mustard from Trader Joes. It seems to get spicier as it sits. The next day it's usually too spicey for me but my hubby happily finishes it up. So easy!"

This was so easy and delicious. I mixed the seasonings for the essence and only used about 2 tbsp of it and saved the rest in a baggie. I only used 1 tbsp of cayenne so I would be able to eat it. My husband said it was really good. Made the house smell delicious too. I used bottled lemon juice instead of fresh. Great recipe!""

This was so easy, quick, and versatile. I've made this a few times now with requests for the recipe. The great part is I just use what I have on hand. This can be super healthy to naughty ;)"

Reviewed Ultimate Ginger Cookie

Jul 31, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Absolutely delicious! We couldn't stop eating them! The best part is that they appeal to both children and adults. Another plus is that I had leftover crystalized ginger and this was the perect way to use it. These will be great for the holidays or any day.

Reviewed Almond and Lemon Biscotti Dipped in White Chocolate

Jul 31, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was delicious! I gave them away to friends to have with their morning coffee so I didn't eat them all myself. I could've baked them longer the second time and they would've been crunchier. My fault though."

Reviewed Thai Shrimp Stir-fry with Tomatoes and Basil - Slimmed

Jul 31, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Everyone loved it. I tasted it before adding the mint and basil and it was okay. Adding the fresh herbs is what does it. Delicious!"

Reviewed Thai Basil Ice Cream with Beaumes de Venise Fruit Compote

Jul 31, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I give it 4 stars only because Thai Basil was had to find. I wasn't able to. I did however use regular basil and sprinkled in some anise seed to try to get closer to the Thai basil flavor. I LOVED the friut compote. I am not a big fan of mango but it was absolutely delicious and I ended up loving the wine I bought to make this. I did let it sit ov"

Reviewed Banana Brioche Bread Pudding

Jul 31, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I have been gobbling this up for days now (healthy I know). I added some butterscotch schnapps to the liquids. I was so rushed I forgot the bananas but added them sliced on top with some maple syrup and vanilla ice cream. I always judge my cooking by "Would I order this again if I was at a restaurant?" YES!!! Reviewed Coleslaw with Cumin-Lime Vinaigrette

Jul 31, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Absolutely loved it. Added honey like some others did for the sweet aspect. I also added twice as much cumin since I love the flavor. I only used 1/4 of an onion since we are not huge fans of raw onion. I will ba making this one again!"

Reviewed Kalbi (Korean Barbequed Beef Short Ribs

Jul 31, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I thought the flavor of the marinade was delicious. Unfortunately for me, it did not turn out as wonderful as everyone elses. I think the grill (charcoal) may have been too hot so they charred instantly. The flavor of that wasn't bad but we couldn't cook them long at all. The insides were very rare and they were still very fatty. We are going to s"

This was absolutely delicious. I'm a beet whore so I had to make this! I roasted the beets and did not serve it on endive. My mom and 3 year old especially liked it. I added some gorgonzola as well. "

Reviewed Southern Biscuits

Jul 14, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was my first attempt at making biscuits so by looking at the overall rating I'm guessing it's my fault they weren't very good. Next time I would make them thicker and it seemed the ones toward the end were fluffier. Maybe because they got more kneading? I will try biscuits again but maybe research a little more about technique."

Reviewed Garlic-Roasted Chicken

I made this for dinner and everyone absolutely LOVED it! I used skinless chicken breast and cooked it as directed. Would make this again in a heartbeat."
