Reviewed Texas Oven-Roasted Beef Brisket

Nov 23, 2013 on FoodNetwork.com

I can't say much about the seasoning. My husband tasted it and said it was good. But, I cooked it for an hour less than instructed, and it was about an hour too long. It was SO dry! (That's why I couldn't taste the seasonings. I had to eat it with bbq sauce to be able to swallow it.) So, this would've been perfect if not for too much cooking time.

This was very good!!! But, it was extremely runny. Maybe 1/4 cup is not enough flour. "

Reviewed Sour Cream Noodle Bake

I agree with the others that it was very bland. I wish I would've read the reviews beforehand because I didn't even think of adding other seasoning (onion, garlic). I could make it again trying to add these things, but without them, I wouldn't."

Reviewed Stuffed Summer Squash Boats

Well, this one is hard to rate. My husband thought the combination was a little odd. He scraped out the filling and just ate the piece of squash. I would've thought that was bland, but whatever. I, however, couldn't eat the squash without the filling. The texture gags me. And, it was good, but it was like eating sausage and onions as squash really"

Delicious!!!!!! However, I might not have used enough salt and pepper. I'm not sure. But it was crispy yet moist. SO GOOD!!!! Even my husband liked it which is huge because he's super hard to please."

Reviewed Jalapeno Bites

We didn't care for these. I used the seeds/veins from the jalapenos for the heat. It was the right move. They were EXTREMELY SALTY. Maybe I should've used fresh Parmesan. It says to serve warm, and I have to agree with that. We ate them right out of the oven. I ate another one after they had cooled down to room temp, and I couldn't eat more than o"

This was very gross. We couldn't even eat it."

This was super easy to make. But, it was pretty bland. Maybe I didn't put enough salt in the crust. Someone else suggested seasoning the chicken with seasoned salt. I think that is a great idea and will try that if I ever make this again. "

Very good. And VERY easy to make. And I don't think there is a lot that is easy to make."

I wanted to try these but I'm already as big as a house. So, I had to wait until I had someone to share them with. I baked them, ate one, and packed up the rest to send to work with my husband. Oh, they were delicious. However, I'm not a real big fan of a lot of chocolate chips. And a 12 oz. bag was too much (in my opinion. I know that many peopl...

Reviewed Perfect Pot Roast

Jan 14, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

OH MY! I've made this twice now. And it's turned out perfectly both times. I absolutely can NOT cook. At least, I thought I couldn't until I met the Pioneer Woman's show.
My pot roast has always been disgusting, but this is the best I've ever had. And I thought my mom's was the best. I was wrong.""
