This was delicious. I have a friend who is vegetarian, so I like to try fun stuff like this when we gather together. She took what was left home. I made extra jam, and gave that away as gifts.

Although I didn't brine my own turkey (I bought an already brined one from Trader Joe's--3 rd year for this), I followed the rest of the directions. This was absolutely the prettiest turkey I have ever made. This is how I'm cooking my turkeys from now on.

This was delicious, and I will definitely be putting this in my Thanksgiving repertoire. The only reason I only gave it four stars it that my mother always made sage dressing, so needless to say there was not enough sage. I literally added half a box of rubbed sage to bring it up to par. Then it was perfect.

Well, I didn't have the same experience as DallasSS. because the recipe said the pie crust was enough for two pies, I halved the recipe and that was only enough for a bottom crust, which was very crumbly. I was very disappointed. Smelled good while it was cooking though. "

I followed the recipe to a "T." My onions were perfect, and yes they were sweet, but Spanish onions are sweet. There wasn't a morsel left, and all of my guests said it was the absolute best French onion soup they had ever tasted. "

My task for a birthday dinner for a friend was to make a lasagna, and I could put my own spin on it. After watching this episode, the recipe stuck in my mind. It was wonderful, and filled the oohs and aahs scale perfectly. I had plenty to send home with my guests. I also followed the suggestion for adding mozzarella. I made my own ricotta as well."

First of all I used the other recipe that she had for Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. The recipe was incomplete, and I wish I had used this one. That being said. OMG!!!!. As I normally do, I experimented on people. In this case a) These people I didn't even know (acquaintances of my brother), b) were from a foreign country (Nigeria). Not only did the"

I haven't made this yet, but plan to this weekend. As to turquoisecat_12403067 question. Daisy Brand sour cream is all natural and does not have quar gum in it. In fact, it has no other added ingredients you can't pronounce that I recall. "

This is fabulous. I made it for Christmas dinner, and I think it will become my new tradition. I used already peeled and cooked chestnuts from Trader Joe's, which helped with the expense. Everyone went back for seconds, and said it was the best soup I had ever made.
