I am gluten free, so I use gluten free Bisquick, and of course you have to add more seasoning t make it taste better ( so use anything you like). I also made a dipping sauce of equal parts hot mustard and orange marmalade. It was great. You don;t need to use that much flour and the chicken doesn't need to be coated heavily for it to be good .
