"I made this recipe for a group that would just as soon have their macaroni and cheese out of a blue box. I doubled the recipe but only used 4 eggs. I did hold aside about 1/2 cup of cheese to spread on the top for the last 5 or 10 minutes and then turned the broiler on for the last minute or two so that it would brown a little and crisp the top ""
