Reviewed Sweet Corn and Chicken Soup Recipe : Food Network

Feb 23, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

My apologies to many generations of Jewish grandmothers in my family, but this might just have become my favorite chicken soup for when I am sick. The ginger really feels and tastes good. And so easy to make.

I leave the salt out entirely and just rely on the sodium from the broth. Then it's far better than those seasoning packets. As written it's way too salty. I've used this recipe with ground turkey and my family of beef eaters don't even notice that it's not beef. I'll often make up a big batch of the taco potion and use it in chili, fajitas, o"

My husband loved this. I thought it was good, but not fantastic. Next time I will use a cast iron pan instead of nonstick so that the scallops brown. Reviewed Simply Grilled Chicken Breasts

Sep 13, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Had high hopes that everyone in the family would like this - the very picky child and the more adventurous eaters. The picky child did like it, plain, grilled chicken with no sauce. The rest of us found the sauce too bland, so the whole dish ended up bland in our minds. But I do give Melissa high marks for the very clear directions with the ex...

Reviewed Lemon Yogurt Berry Swirl with Homemade Granola

Jan 10, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I checked and double checked the granola recipe. I made it correctly, but the granola didn't clump together. Tasted ok, but pretty messy when you have to pick it up oat by oat. The berries and yogurt made a nice parfait. But I wanted extra granola for snacking. If I make this again I might add a bit of corn syrup to help it hold together.
