Of all the cookies I make this is the family favorite. My son has allergy to peanuts so I have to get the raw hazelnuts and toast and skin them and also buy large chocolate bar and chop up so nothing is processed where peanuts are. These cookies are so worth the trouble. Thanks Giada. "

I made this recipe last year for VBS and the children decorated and ate as their dessert and craft. They loved it so much that they ask me to make them again this year in shape of the theme this year. I will make them in the shape of tropical fish and starfish to decorate. Very easy to make and great flavor. Did not line sides with tomatoes, used a jar of marinated artichoke hearts for another layer of flavor, had a little swiss, a little cheddar and grated some parm., mixed together and topped. Also used the Cento brand of Italian style tomatoes. Will make this again and again. Used half the dried oregano.

I hate it when all the reviews are good then one bad one shows up. I'm going to be the bad one this time. I went by the recipe and it was bad. Maybe the vegetable stock I got wasn't good. I finally added cheddar cheese, parm cheese, and half and half and it was OK but not great.
