Reviewed spicy pasta salad with smoked gouda, tomatoes and basil

Aug 30, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I originally got this recipe off her Tasty Kitchen blog. The first time I made it per the recipe instructions and it was too dry. So now I double the dressing. This is not spicy when made per the instructions so I add the chipotle to my taste. It's an OK recipe with a few tweaks.

What you say may be true, but I would appreciate a rating for Ree's recipe, not yours. Is 5 stars for Ree's recipe or yours?

I think you are correct. I too always start potatoes in cold salted water. If people follow the recipe they will be disappointed. I'm not a chef so maybe I'm wrong.

How about people giving her recipes a high rating without trying it. Is that OK? I've seen this a lot.

I didn't say this was my family's recipe. I just didn't realize that the Pioneer Woman just trolls the internet for good recipes and passes them off as her own.

This was a recipe of my grandmother. I don't know where she got it from, but she used to get a lot a recipes from newspapers. My issue is that this is certainly not Ree's recipe. Most bloggers are pretty diligent about naming sources, except forf Ree that is.

Yes, these waffles are delicious. They are the exact recipe we have been using in my family for years. Word for word. I wonder where Ree got the recipe and why she didn't credit that source?

Reviewed supreme pizza lasagna

Feb 17, 2014 on FoodNetwork.com

I had a few problems with this recipe and I wish Ree would have specified the size baking dish to use. Most of us have 9x13's and this recipe is way to large for that. So I cooked the rest of the noodles from the box and made another one with the leftover ingredients. And, as another poster said, this is a very expensive lasagna to make, although...

Replied to hot roast beef sandwiches

This recipe is courtesy of Ree Drummond. The recipe came from her. I hardly think Food Network has the responsibility to proofread every recipe on this site. It's the authors responsibility to make sure their recipes are correct.

I think this recipe was not written correctly. On the show I believe the quantity of poppy seeds were for the entire recipe of 120. Three or four tablespoons seems like an awful lot for only 1/4 cup of mayo and 1/4 cup of mustard. Is one pound of roast beef really going to make 12 sandwiches? Not in my world. I think something was lost in translating...

1-1/2 cups of milk plus an egg is way too much liquid for 1-1/2 cups of flour. I cut the liquid down to 3/4 cup and it helped to make the batter a little thicker. This is not my favorite recipe for Blueberry pancakes.""
