My Activity

Reviewed Twice Baked Potato Casserole

"Yum! I made this with "fake butter," fat-free sour cream, and fat-free 1/2 & 1/2. Next time I will use reduced fat cheese and turkey bacon to make it a little healthier. Anyway, I took this to a church potluck today, and came home with very little left and 5 "do you share recipes, because I want this one!" Out of a church that currently has 20 mem""

Reviewed Pumpkin Bread

"Yummy! All I had was canned pumpkin, so I used that. No pumpkin seeds, so I took the suggestion from others to use walnuts. Combine all that with some pumpkin pie spice that I happened to have on hand, and the bread turned out so good! Definitely will be making this again!""

Reviewed Grown Up Mac and Cheese

"I should have reviewed this sooner. I made this last year for a mom's luncheon. It was placed on the table next to regular mac 'n cheese. This recipe was GONE and people were begging for more before the other mac 'n cheese had more than 1 bite out of it.

I'll definitely be making it again!

Reviewed Chunky Chicken and Chorizo Chili

"I guess it's a matter of personal taste, but I did not care for this at all. I followed the directions to the letter, but the overwhelming taste of beer was nauseating. I couldn't even keep the first bite in my mouth because of the taste.

Most of your recipes are great, Rachel, but this one just didn't work for me. Now, off to figure out what to fix for dinner.

Reviewed Throwdown's German Chocolate Cake with Coconut-Pecan-Cajeta Frosting, Chocolate Ganache and Coconut Whipped Cream

"I can't rate the actual CAKE, as I had a different recipe for that part that I used instead. That being said, though, the filling and topping got rave reviews from my husband and in-laws. I don't like coconut, but the ganache was awesome! Yes, it's time consuming and the ingredients not the cheapest in the world, but it was a great cake!

Reviewed Grandmother Paula's Red Velvet Cake

"For those who complain that you still taste the red food coloring, Wilton makes a "no taste" red that works wonderful, if you don't mind using a gel food coloring! :0)

Reviewed Chorizo, Bean and Cheese Nachos

"I couldn't find Chorizo sausage, but another website said to use Italian sausage as a substitute. Aside from that change, I made as directed. SUPER YUMMY!!! My husband said these were the best nachos he'd ever tasted. His only complaint? "These are a little too high class for a football game!"
