Reviewed Homemade Gravy
"Ina has done it again! This is an absolutely delicious gravy with rich flavor. For health reasons, I used a combination of low-sodium turkey stock and low sodium chicken stock and only had to add a pinch more kosher salt to taste. The key is allowing the onions to brown a bit in the butter at the start; it makes for a deep rich flavorful gravy. I omitted the white wine but added the cognac and heavy cream. Perfection!
Reviewed Cranberry Fruit Conserve
"This is delicious and so simple to make. After reading several other reviews, I reduced the amount of sugar to just one cup. I also used Splenda instead of regular sugar and it was still delicious. I found the final product to have a little too much liquid/juice for my tastes, so I strained the whole thing, and then added back the amount of liquid that made it juicey but not quite so runny. This recipe will forever be in my recipe box! Thanks Ina!
