Reviewed Homemade Ricotta

Jun 12, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was excellent! Creamy and delicious. Much better than store bought and best of all, it's very simple. Thank you, Alex!"

Reviewed Nick and Toni's Penne Alla Vecchia Bettola

Oct 31, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Oh, Ina! I must have done something wrong. I followed the recipe exactly and my husband and I just thought - meh, okay. Our opinion only. Obviously, others really enjoy it.""

Reviewed Fusilli With Spinach-Nut Pesto

Sep 30, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Wow, surprisingly good. Followed the recipe exactly except used whole wheat fusilli. Light and tasty. Yum!""

Reviewed Almost-Famous Swedish Meatballs

Not too bad, but not great. I did not add the garlic because I did not have any on hand. Husband thought they were a bit too bland. Served over noodles.""

Reviewed Broccoli-Cheddar Pockets

Reviewed Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars

Apr 17, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I made this for my peanut butter and jelly sandwich loving teen. He just thought they were so-so. I do agree with some of the reviews that the peanut butter portion could be overwhelming. Perhaps more jam or even a chocolate filling as one reviewer recommended would be a good adjustment. Just not a rave review this time from the taste testers...

Reviewed Good Eats Beef Stew

Apr 17, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

I thought these had a wonderful flavor, but agree with smelatchu and did not care for the fattiness of the short ribs, their texture, or the waste. I thought the paste made the meat very flavorful and although it was a lengthy process, the flavor was worth it. Next time, I'll use a different cut of meat."
