Reviewed Indian Cucumber and Yogurt Salad: Cucumber Raita

"Loved this as well...very nice raita recipe and super with the vindaloo. I used Chobani 2% plain yogurt and thought it was very tasty. I also used the suggestion of another reviewer to blot the water from the shredded cucumbers so the nice, thick texture remained. Will definitely make again!"

Reviewed Goan Beef Curry with Vinegar: Beef Vindaloo

"The flavor of this was great, as all the Aarti recipes we've tried...so great to have new flavors and techniques! So on this one...my dad and I loved it, mom and fiance were ok with it, but it was too hot for my sis. It was borderline hot for me, but I put it in a pita and layered the raita on top and it was fantastic! Love the heat of the vindaloo with the cool raita. I will definitely make this again, but probably not for a family gathering."

Reviewed Beer, Ginger, and Garlic Braised Brisket

"THIS. WAS. BRILLIANT!!!!! The only modification I made to the recipe was to add apple juice as I was out of brown sugar and had about 6 lbs of brisket...thought it looked like it needed some extra cooking liquid. This is definitely going into the regular rotation STAT. The gravy was amazing...the flavors are so deep and well balanced...rave rave rave. Great way to start the New Year!

Reviewed Sloppy Bombay Joes

"I think the only modification I made was to use tomato paste instead of tomato sauce *thought I had the sauce on hand, but just added extra water*, and served it over brown rice. Guests loved it and not normally demonstrative fiancee said "you can make that anytime you want!"...so a rare compliment from him. I think the only modification I will make in the future will be to add more pistachios...I really enjoyed the crunchiness. It did take a long time to make and we will see how the leftovers are *one serving; four adults were served amply* as normally there are just two of us. This definitely is NOT what I think of as traditional Indian, but I don't care what cuisine it falls into...it is incredibly delicious!
