Reviewed The Perfect Yellow Cupcake

"These cupcakes are delicious. The texture is very nice as is the flavor, buttery but light.
Be careful to follow directions exactly and DON'T overfill the cupcake pans or they will overflow.
Yes the tops are flat but that works fine with the buttercream.
The buttercream worked very well for me but will not work if the kitchen is too hot, the icing"

Reviewed English Peas

"This is WAY too complicated for a home cook. I have a suggestion, Paula. Why not package this already combined so all us poor silly home cooks have to do is open a package and stick it in the microwave.

and think about the markup you can add to the cost to the ingredients. Why, you could sell the package for , say, $7.99. Just like the flour that is poured into two plastic bags and marked up 400% because the Paula Deen name is slapped on it.

Think of all the additional money you could make. Of course it's a bit embarassing when the stuff gets carted off to the odd-lot stores, isn't it. When they mark down the gunky Paula Deen cake mixes that were originally marked at $6.99 get reduced to $.59. Err, win some lose some.

Reviewed Asparagus Spears with Sesame

"This is a terrific recipe. It's great for big dinners because the dish can be put together earlier in the day; no last minute rush. I followed Alex's directions carefully in blanching, cooling and drying the asparagus and it paid off, the asparagus spears remained green and crisp. A very tasty and attractive vegetable dish!
