I loved them! I have to agree with everyone, there was too much butter. I thouht they would be a little lighter, because they were just greasy, but they were pretty light. I used regular cornmeal instead of self-rising cornmeal, so I think that is what made the difference in the batter, I also ran out of buttermilk and replaced the rest with regular milk, so that probably made the big difference also.
