My Activity

Reviewed Cream of Wild Mushroom Soup

"Loved this soup. Peppery, creamy, mushroomy and yummy! Two minor substitutions: I didn't have any white wine, so I used red, and didn't have fresh thyme, so I used dried and scaled it way back. Oh, also added a little bit of white truffle salt--thought it would go great with the mushrooms. Otherwise the same. The red wine turned the color to more ""

Reviewed Fried Smashed Potatoes with Lemons

"Oh, my--thank you, Giada! I never thought lemon and potatoes would taste so good together, but these were wonderful! I loved all the lemon, and used the full amount. Definitely, do not overcook the potatoes or they will disintegrate when you smash and fry them. I usually make the exact recipe the first time and tweak what I want the next, but I didn't have fresh thyme or parsley and still wanted to make this. I used 1/2 tsp. of dried thyme and no parsley in the sauce and they were still great. Try these! A wonderful, new way (for me of cooking a tired side-dish."

Reviewed Chicken Piccata

"I loved this recipe--the sauce was wonderful and tasted good on everything else on the plate as well as the chicken! Yum.

I love how when people screw up the recipe, they blame everyone else on the site for their not liking it--WE have no taste buds! Go troll somewhere else, wouldja? With 405 reviews, I think the problem is yours..."
