My Activity

Reviewed Chocolate Pudding

"Sooo good and super easy!!! I was in the mood for pudding and didn't feel like going to the store so I made this instead and is WAY better. Very rich, I think they tasted better the next day. My husband doesn't really care for desserts but he loved this. He said it was just like the pudding that his grandma used to make. I also subbed 1% milk "

Reviewed Gianduja Souffle

"I've never had a souffle before so I'm not sure if I ended up with the right consistency but I rated this 4stars because it was easy to make, it baked and rose beautifully and it tasted sinful. The tops felt like a cake but inside was almost like a light and airy custard.

Reviewed Cream of Fresh Tomato Soup

"This soup is soo good! I almost passed over it because I thought it was too much work (I was feeling very lazy tonight) and I'm glad I didn't because it was actually very simple and easy to make. I used an immersion blender on this and it was just like the tomato soup at La Madeline! I used more canned tomatoes than fresh because I like that tangy flavor and I added some cheese.

Reviewed Bourbon Pecan Pie: aka Douglas' Dark Rum Pecan Pie

"I was asked to bring a Pecan Pie to Thanksgiving dinner and I decided on this one and I'm glad I did!! This was the first pie that I have ever made and it came out perfect! Not too sweet which was good because Pecan Pie is usually rot your teeth out sweet. I made this pie using Paula's Perfect Pie Crust and that was so melt in your mouth buttery goodness. Love you Paula!!

Reviewed Sour Cream Coffee Cake

"I made this for the first dinner I hosted for my family and my in-laws and everyone loved it. My mother even requested that I make her one to take to a Thanksgiving party she was going to. It was soo good, moist and light and it rose beautifully. I would definitely make more of the crumb mixture to go in the in cake and on top.

Reviewed Mama's Pound Cake

"I made this a couple of days ago and it was delicious!! I hate to say this but I am an avid baker but I do not have a regular bundt or tube pan! I cut everything in half and made it in a loaf pan and it tasted delicious, very nice crumb size and texture. I don't know if that still qualifies as a real pound cake though since I didn't use all the butter and shortening... It was good fresh out of the oven and great cold out of the fridge too. My mom said it reminded her of the Sara Lee Pound Cakes : )

Reviewed Olivia's Buttermilk Pie

"Super easy and incredibly delicious! This is the first buttermilk pie I've ever had and I love it. I have one in the oven as I'm typing this (and this is my 3rd pie this week!) For the first pie, I cut the sugar to 1 1/4 cup as others had suggested but found that it was still too sweet for me. I used just 1 cup of sugar for the second pie and it was perfect. The texture changed a bit, but it may have been because of the cooking time and the pie tin I used though.
