Awesome pretzels....only change would be to add the salt with the flour and butter instead of when proofing the yeast. That much salt prevents the yeast from really getting going at first. Otherwise, excellent recipe.

Reviewed Shepherd's Pie

I took a few shortcuts with this but it was still great. The biggest shortcut was with the mashed potatoes where I used the dehydrated kind instead of making them from scratch (made them with leftover half and half instead of milk). I also was missing chicken stock so just made some pseudo-stock with 1 c water and 1 tsp chicken base.

This is an excellent recipe and one I've made numerous times. The result is a recipe thats relatively quick and easy which tastes as good as what you can get at a restaurant. Personally, I've made a couple changes as I like a more spicy and sour soup. I will usually add a bit more white pepper (don't use black), chili paste and rice wine vinega"
