“I took a few shortcuts with this but it was still great. The biggest shortcut was with the mashed potatoes where I used the dehydrated kind instead of making them from scratch (made them with leftover half and half instead of milk). I also was missing chicken stock so just made some pseudo-stock with 1 c water and 1 tsp chicken base.

“This is an excellent recipe and one I've made numerous times. The result is a recipe thats relatively quick and easy which tastes as good as what you can get at a restaurant. Personally, I've made a couple changes as I like a more spicy and sour soup. I will usually add a bit more white pepper (don't use black), chili paste and rice wine vinega"”
