Quick and easy to make, great side dish for just about anything! Delicious!"

Reviewed Banana Bread with Pecans

Nov 14, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is definitely my new go to recipe for banana bread. I did find the cooking time was not quite enough though, I baked mine for an hour and 25 mins but my toothpick still wasn't coming out clean. I followed the recipe exactly except I omitted the pecans. The only other thing I did differently is I used frozen bananas instead of fresh ripe banan"

Delicious! Even my picky boyfriend who doesn't like chicken breast (he prefers dark meat) said he really liked this dish. The chicken turned out really moist, didn't miss the breading at all. Followed the recipe exactly, even made the simple tomato sauce. Served with some linguine, broccolini and garlic bread. Definitely a keeper!"

Reviewed Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Nov 10, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Really enjoyed this recipe, not my favourite peanut butter cookie but still delicious! I didn't have natural peanut butter so I just used Kraft and they were still full of peanut flavour. I also reduced sugar to 3/4 of a cup and they were perfectly sweet. The texture of the cookie is good, not crumbly at all but very crispy on the outside and chew"

Reviewed Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Aug 25, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

If you insert a toothpick into the stem part of the strawberry before dipping it and then poke it into a block of styrofoam to cool and harden you won't have the smooshed looking bottom on the strawberry and they will turn out much nicer looking. Hope I explained that well enough... I find a block of craft styrofoam used for making fake flower arr"

Reviewed Bayou Chicken Pasta

Jul 22, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

So yummy! This is one of my faves! I follow the recipe exactly except that I substitute a fresh jalepeno for the habanero pepper because that's all they have at my grocery store. It's definitely got some kick but I don't find it too spicy. As some other reviewers suggested, it's best to have everything chopped and ready to go before you start cook"

Reviewed Braised Chicken Thighs with Button Mushrooms

Jul 22, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Love this recipe! This is my boyfriend's absolute favourite meal and he requests it once a week! I follow the recipe exactly, the only exception is that we prefer it on egg noodles instead of rice. For anyone who says the chicken isn't cooked, it gets braised for 30 minutes on each side when you put it back in the pan so it definitely gets cooked."

Reviewed Why-the-Chicken-Crossed-the-Road Santa Fe-Tastic Tortilla Soup

Jul 22, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is my favourite soup! The flavours are amazing and it's very hearty. Leftovers taste great, and the soup freezes well. I stray a little from the recipe, mostly just for convenience and also if I don't have certain ingredients on hand. I don't grill the corn or the red pepper. I dice up the red pepper really small and add it at the same time a"

Reviewed Jambasta

Jul 22, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

Excellent recipe! I've been making this regularly for about 5 years now and it's a favourite in my house! I estimate the quantities of each ingredient but for the most part I stick to the recipe. The only thing I omit is the thyme just because I'm not a huge fan. Sometimes I forget to put the beer and it still turns out great so if you don't have "

Reviewed Chicken with Wild Mushroom and Balsamic Cream Sauce

Jul 22, 2012 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

We really enjoyed this! It's not gourmet, it wouldn't be my first choice of meals to serve to company, but for a 30 minute meal on a weeknight when I wanted something simple, quick, and tasty this was perfect. I didn't have orzo so I made penne which may have been too much pasta for this type of meal. Next time I'll probably use egg noodles. I did"
