Moose is Loose!!!! Reread the directions! The sliced eggplant goes into the oven unadorned for 15 minutes..then you take it out and start layering with tomato sauce parmesan cheese and mozzerella for the next 20 minutes in the oven! That gives you a total of 35 minutes bake time!!!! People..you need to read the directions carefully!!!!!

This was the worst bolognese sauce I ever made!!!!! I did everything according to the directions. My husband said there was an after taste but not sure he could put his finger on it! I thought perhaps the pancetta was the issue. To me the pancetta has a weird smell when browning.For those who said the sauce was too thin..you need to let it simmer...

I've made this twice already and fell in love with this recipe!!!! A bit skeptical at first but curiousity won me over!!! I've taken the welcome advice of other viewers and added a little white wine and chicken broth...it brings enough additional flavor without being overkill. And you do need to add quite a lot of shallots because as they carmalize...

I 've made this recipe and found it to be on of the best vodka penne recipes out there! I believe the added addition of chicken stock gives this dish great depth...and add all the basil...it does make a difference! Enjoy!!!!
