Reviewed Hibiscus-Lime Tea

Sep 6, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This was so good and refreshing! Serving it really cold is the key. I did not add any sugar for health reasons but it was still really good. I have read that hibiscus tea is good to help lower blood pressure, lower the bad cholesterol and to remove toxins from your liver. I just drink it because it was delicious and refreshing.""

I did not enjoy this recipe at all. The sausage flavor overwhelms the recipe and leaves the pork chops behind. My son who eats everything and anything left most of his meal on the plate. Big waste of time and money. In regard to "all the hosts wear their rings when cooking", Giada, Ina Garten, Bobby Flay, Sandra Lee, etc. do not wear rings when...

Reviewed Mexican Chicken

Mar 24, 2011 in Food Network Community Toolbox on FoodNetwork.com

This is not Mexican. Just because some tortillas were thrown in does not make it Mexican. It was just a whole bunch of canned soups thrown together with some tortillas and chicken. I found it to be very salty and not good at all. "

The recipe looks delicious, but what really grossed me out was that you cook with your rings on. Gross!!!! Touching raw pork, raw eggs etc with your rings on must cross contaminate all your food. Can you imagine how many germs stay with your rings, even if you wash your hands. After getting severely ill due to food poisoning, I am really cognizant...

This recipe is so good and easy. It may not be traditional Salvadorean pupusas but they are good. In the past, when I tried making them with a single ball of masa, all I made was a big mess. The two balls of masa made the stuffing process a lot easier. I loved the bold flavors. They came out so good. My son had me make an extra batch to take...
