"Huge success! I've never done a roaster chicken before, and it cooked up perfectly. I found the sauce a little too bitter, but my boyfriend and adult daughter both said otherwise. I used regular yellow onion instead of spanish, and Reisling instead of a dry. I appreciated the sweetness in the Reisling, as it offset some of the bitterness (I ended up adding some sugar to the sauce too). Also, I added several tablespoons of cornstarch instead of one tablespoon of flour, to make the sauce a touch thicker.
