However, the devil's food cake is far from the cake at the restaurant and the icing is more like buttercream than chocolate fudge. If they claim this is the actual recipe than one would have to assume that they add food coloring to get the deep rich chocolate brown color since the color of this cake and icing were very light. If I had made this prior to eating it at the restaurant I certainly would not be inspired to travel to the city to get it. Although, the cake was tasty after I replaced the devil's food cake with my own recipe it was not the same. If I make it again I will also find a new icing recipe as well. I did follow the directions exactly and feel confidant in my abilities in doing such since I make and decorate cakes as a side job. I am also very skilled in precision and direction as I mix chemotherapy for a living. "
