My Activity
Reviewed Spicy Baked Macaroni
"If I spend the time to make a homemade mac-n-cheese, this isn't the one I'll do again. It was dry, and not very flavorful. "
Reviewed Vegetarian Chili
"Lots of prep time, but so yummy and healthy! My carnivore son didn't even complain about no meat. I didn't have regular paprika, but used smoked paprika, which was awesome. The day after I made this, we had people over and I mixed in some of the chili with velveeta and served with tortillas chips. Still had left overs the next day and served with hamburger buns. Delicious!"
Reviewed Eggplant Parmesan
"I would give it a 5 for taste, but the amount of time and effort it took brings it down to a 3! If someone else makes it....great! Otherwise, be ready to spend a few hours in the kitchen and then another 30mins to clean up the mess. I used bottled sauce, and my dish was a bit dry, so next time, I will try Tyler's sauce (for those who don't like to read modified ratings, don't flip out...just ignore this review)."
Reviewed Lemon-Dill Potato Salad
"Can't wait for summer to make this again. The dill and lemon make it so fresh tasting...really delicious and easy to make."
Reviewed Fettuccine Alfredo
"I made this twice, the first time - I took my time and followed the recipe to the dot - and it was absolutely delicious. Tasted just like alfredo sauce. I got cocky the second time - and was in a bit of a hurry - and it tasted like pureed cauliflower sauce with peas and pasta. It was still good, but tasted less like alfredo. So take your time and follow the directions and it will taste like alfredo!"
Reviewed Mexican Lasagna
"If you don't like modified recipe reviews, pls don't read this....My husband is vegetarian, so I did not include chicken. I also had corn tortillas in the fridge, so I used those instead - I'm so glad I did, they were really delicious and added an authentic taste. My 11 yr old son had his friend over for dinner and even he was raving about the dish. My son said to add it to my "rotation". Sweet. "
Reviewed Sloppy Bombay Joes
"Overall, delicious! Prep time was the same as any Indian meal (long!). Although I'd argue that those who tried this as their first taste of Indian food really shouldn't judge Indian food based on this. Yeah, it has garam masala in it, but it's very much "fusion" - if you give up on Indian food b/c of this dish...jeez! As for the smell - well, yeah. I guess if you're not used to it, makes sense. Anytime anyone cooks strong smelling foods (fish, spices, etc. make sure there's lots of ventilation! Also an American-born Indian, I was expecting this to taste more "Bombay", but since I tasted the dish as I went, I added more garam masala and paprika (and more honey to give it more "sloppy joe" taste. I didn't have pistachio but used chopped mixed nuts instead, was perfect.
