We really enjoyed this recipe, which I halved for 4 people. I didn't have refried beans on hand, so I simply used a can of rinsed pinto beans and fried them in the chorizo fat with the onions, mashed them with a potato masher, added a little Mexican crema to get a creamy consistency, and seasoned them with S&P, cumin and oregano.
