I've never tried making stew before, and there really is nothing to it. I did add a can of peas, and 2 cups of botton mushrooms with the carrots and celery. In doing so, I found that I needed to add double the amount of water in order to submerge the ingredients while cooking. Also, I added some beef stock to boost the flavour of the broth. Great "
